city slickers

All the action happens in the city. It's where the bright lights and big shows dominate the atmosphere. The sky is blocked by buildings. It is a center of human creation.

Correspondingly, this division will exhibit my adventures in web design as I try to mesh my words with my images. You can probably guess which lags behind which. Some of these will be flash projects, others will be pure html, and I'm sure I'll slap up a photojourney for my faithful fans.

(6/3) As any good drunk could tell you, there's nothing like music to your beers. Usually this means picking the tunes to fit your sloshedness, but are there actual parallels between certain brands and certain bands? I say yes.

(3/28) A little over a year ago I went to Alinea in Chicago, which had recently been named the best restaurant in America by Gourmet Magazine. For a mere $320 I enjoyed a twenty-three (what other number would be appropriate for Chicago greatness?) course meal with selected wine pairings. I can't adequately describe the experience with mere, well, description, so I got metaphorical and visual.
