Biography

I was called to this beer. I was called to make it red. And then I was called to run wild with barley and wheat and hops and yeast. High requirements, so I had to call upon three traditional styles to make but one great beer. E pluribus, unum. And what an unum! Possibly my second best beer yet, and certainly the most sessionable.

Creation

Beyond the commissioning requirement, I wanted to make a well-balanced and smooth beer that was still unique. I also wanted to try Reinheitsgebot. I felt too constrained, and my wildest brewer raged against the dying night. The only solution was fusion. Considering some loves of my patron, I went wheat and red and pleasantly flavorful hops. But I restrained them to their parts. Thus, weizened, dry-hopped red ale.
